In other area court news, a Fort Riley soldier who faces charges of sexual exploitation of a child, rape, and aggravated sodomy faces an October fifth trial following a pre-trial motions hearing in Geary County Court Wednesday.  James Henning waived his jury trial so the trial to the court was affirmed by Judge Benjamin Sexton. Henning was bound over on 11 felonies following a preliminary hearing in March, which included videotapes and photographs. The victim has been identified as an eight year old girl. Henning had been serving as a military police officer at Fort Riley.
