Cancer: The Emperor of All Maladies @ Manhattan Public Library

The three-part PBS documentary Cancer: The Emperor of All Maladies, created by preeminent filmmaker Ken Burns based on a 2010 Pulitzer Prize-winning book, premieres March 30th.  K-State’s Johnson Cancer Research Center and KTWU 11 PBS will host an advance screening event at 2-4 pm, on March 28th, in the Manhattan Public Library Auditorium.  An informational fair featuring local cancer-related agencies and organizations will precede the hour-long preview of the documentary at 3:00 pm.  This public event is free and refreshments will be provided.

MAPJ Annual Meeting @ UUFM Building

Handel’s MESSIAH @ St Thomas More Church

Handel’s MESSIAH by the community for the community will be performed Saturday March 28 7:30pm at St Thomas More Church, 2900 Kimball Ave, Manhattan. Singers interested in participating should come to rehearsal at the church on Wednesday March 25 7pm.
