NextCoffee Meeting @ Radina's
Mar 31 @ 5:30 pm – 6:00 pm

The Riley County Police Department will be holding its monthly NextCoffee meeting on Tuesday, March 31st at 5:30 pm (Tuesday instead of Monday for this month only). The meeting will be held at Radina’s located in Blue Earth Plaza.  Police Officer Derek Cid from the Riley County Police Department’s Patrol Division will be this month’s guest speaker to discuss his patrol shift and experiences as a law enforcement officer in and outside of Riley County.  NextCoffee meetings are generally held on the last Monday of each month.  They are a casual setting in which Manhattan and Riley County community members can interact with police officers of the Riley County Police Department in a light hearted and casual atmosphere.  Officers and employees involved in the program provide an educational experience and open discussion on topics like crime in the community and how the department is responding.  The department’s Nextcoffee goes hand in hand with its online counterpart, Nextdoor.  This free program is used to better facilitate communication throughout the community and replaced the neighborhood watch program in Riley County earlier this year.  To sign up for a Nextdoor account visit www.Nextdoor.com
