The Manhattan Lions Club Pancake Feed with Kansas Quality Woodworkers Arts & Crafts Show will be held on Saturday, October 21st from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm at Pottorf Hall. They will have pancakes, sausages & choice of eggs with coffee, orange drink or water. Blind made products including brooms and other useful items. Vision/Eye evaluations for kids to determine need for further examination, 9:00 – 11:30 am. Fire engine rides on “Old Engine #1” for children and parents by MHK Fire Dept 9:00 – 11:30 am. Large exhibition of arts ad crafts by local crafts people for personal or gift enjoyment.
The Randolph United Methodist Church will hold there Fall Supper on Wednesday, October 25th from 5:00 to 7:30 pm at the church. Menu will be Swedish Meatballs; Creamed Chicken; Mashed Potatoes, Corn or Green Beans; Variety of Salads and Relishes and Homemade Bread and Pie. Cost: Preschool – free; K – 6th grade -$2.50 and Adults – $8.00. Everyone welcome.
Flu season is here once again and the Riley County Health Department is preparing to provide the flu vaccine to Riley County residents. The community is invited to attend the 6th annual Okt-FLU-ber Fest event taking place on Thursday, October 26th from 1:30 pm – 7:00 pm at the Riley County Health Department Campus 2101 Campus Road. The first 350 children to receive their flu vaccine will be given a free pumpkin! Vaccine registration will close at 6:00 pm. In addition to the vaccines, there will be kids’ games, face painting, snacks community partner booths, and lots of fun. The College of Business Administration presents the sixth annual C. Clyde Run/Fun Run/Walk in honor of Dr. C. Clyde Jones, the college’s first dean, and his beloved wife Midge. Paxico Sacred Heart Parish will have a Home Smoked German Sausage Supper on Sunday, October 29th. They will have buffet style serving from 12:00 to 3:30 pm. Mass 10:30 am.
