Purple Power Play returns to City Park Thursday, August 28th and Friday, August 29th, beginning at 6:00 pm both days! Originally designed to welcome students and alumni to Downtown Manhattan prior to the first home Kansas State Wildcat football game, Purple Power Play has grown to be one of the best regional events in Northeast Kansas. The festivities will take place in the north end of City Park near and around the Park Pavilion. This year’s event, features a variety of live music, entertainment, food, games, a Jumbotron and Inflatable Carnival. Kids of all ages can get their picture taken with Willie the Wildcat in the Park Pavilion beginning at 5:00 pm both evenings. Nightly pep rallies will feature appearances by current K-State coaches, the Marching Bank, Cheerleaders and Classy Cats and Willie the Wildcat.
