The Riley County Health Department will be at the Riley County Senior Service Center from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm on Wednesday, June 21st to provide Tdap vaccinations free of charge. No need to sign up. Just walk in any time between 8:30 am and 3:00 pm. Protect yourself and your children from Whooping Cough, Tetanus & Diphtheria.
The American Red Cross in Kansas needs volunteer support! Train to become a hero for your community in times of crisis. Neighbors helping neighbors to rebound, rebuild, recover. New Disaster Volunteer Training will be held at the Manhattan Public Library on Friday, June 23rd from 5:00 – 9:00 pm and Saturday, June 24th from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Arts in the Park concert for Friday, June 23rd, will be Not a Planet, a Kansas City-based rock-n-roll band beginning at 8:00 pm at the Larry Norvell Band Shell in City Park.

The Randolph United Methodist Church will have a Homemade Ice Cream Social on Saturday, July 1st on the Randolph Church Lawn. Serving begins at 11:00 am and ends when the freezers are empty. Many fun flavors of homemade ice cream, numerous homemade pies, and ham sandwiches. Everyone welcome!
American Legion Riders Post 17 Independence Day Celebration, Raising Awareness for Veterans Suicide, will be held on Sunday, July 2nd from 4:00 to 9:00 pm at the American Legion Post #17. Bike Show registration begins at 4:00 pm. Registration Fee is $10. Judging begins at 5:00 with the Awards Presentation at 8:00. All makes are welcome. Awards will be given for Best in Show; Best Metric; Best Paint; People’s Choice; Best Cruiser and Best Touring. They will also have a Silent Auction, Gun Raffle, Beer Garden Food, Vendors, Music and Fireworks. Entertainment by Michael B. This will be a Family Fun event. Partial proceeds will support Veterans Suicide Organizations.
