The Riley County Historical Society will hold its quarterly dinner and program meeting on Tuesday, January 23rd at the Manhattan Headquarters Fire Station. The dinner will begin at 6:30 pm. The cost of the dinner is $11.00. Reservations are required for the dinner by January 17th, by calling 785-565-6490. Chuck Tannehill will present “An Early History of the Volunteer Period of the Manhattan Fire Department” around 7:17 pm in the auditorium. No reservations are required for the program part of the evening.
Coffee Shop Agronomy will be held on January 25th at Nelson’s Landing in Leonardville. This event will be from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon. The program will be Land Prices and Leasing and the speaker will be Mykel Taylor, K-State Research & Extension Ag Economist.
