Bird Street BooksNick Carter is especially busy with side projects outside of his work with the Backstreet Boys. Earlier this week, it was reported that he and his fiancee, Lauren Kitt, are shopping a reality show about his personal life and their upcoming wedding.

It seems Carter intends to reveal even more about himself in a memoir. Facing the Music and Living to Talk About It will focus on his music career and his struggles with drugs and alcohol.

Facing the Music and Living to Talk About It will be published by Bird Street Books and will be released sometime in September.

Image Courtesy Justin Bieber via TwitterAs if there weren't already enough awards shows in the world, a brand new one took place for the first time in Singapore on Thursday, and Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez and One Direction were among the big winners.

According to USA Today, the Social Star Awards kicked off with a performance by Steven Tyler and Aerosmith, and also featured Carly Rae Jepsen, SkyBlu of LMFAO and -- who else? -- PSY, who closed the show with "Gangnam Style." PSY tweeted a photo of himself posing with Steven Tyler, who called meeting the South Korean rapper "a pleasure and an honor."

Justin took home the award for best solo artist, while One Direction was named best music group. Selena won, not for her music, but for her acting. According to USA Today, Justin told the crowd, "Thank you to all my fans that helped me win best solo artist. You guys are awesome!"

The Social Star Awards are based on data from Starcount, a site that charts celebrities by measuring the social media activity of some 1.7 billion people across 11 of the biggest social media sites and networks. Other who attended included Jermaine Jackson, Star Trek actor George Takei and Cee Lo Green.
