Police in Riley County are investigating a theft which occurred in the 2800 block of West 56th Ave. Officers found that Larry Cargal, 34, of Manhattan became the victim of this theft when a Chevy Tahoe he owned was removed from his property without permission. The vehicle contained a booster seat, a car seat, and a mobile phone which left the total loss at approximately $5,350.
The vehicle was listed as a 2005 champagne color Chevy Tahoe with a KS collegiate license plate and a front vanity plate that says “Chevy.” If you have information about this crime or know of its whereabouts contact police or use the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers to submit a tip and remain anonymous.

A Louisville teenager faces burglary to a vehicle and criminal damage to property charges following his arrest Sunday night. Mark Hecker,19, was taken into custody in the 400 block of Holiday Drive in Manhattan at about 8:00 PM Sunday. Hecker’s bond was set at $5,000.
Police made contact with Hecker after receiving reports of a vehicle being burglarized. The vehicle was a Nissan 350Z belonging to 23 year old Dillon Driggs, of South Shore, Kentucky. The vehicle received damage to its dash in the amount of $500.

As earlier reported by KMAN Riley County Police arrested Devin Siebold, 30, of Riley on two warrants for failure to appear. Further information released this (Monday) morning indicate the FTA’s were from Clay County with a total bond of $5,000
Siebold was arrested in the 17,000 block of Bala Road on Saturday at approximately 7:45 PM.

More information was released Monday regarding the early Sunday morning arrest of Kiontaria Brown, 22, of Fort Riley. Brown was arrested for the offense of battery of a law enforcement officer at approximately 1:00 AM while in the 600 block of North 12th Street in Manhattan. Brown was being escorted out of an establishment she was not welcomed in when she pushed and scratched a uniformed police officer after allegedly grabbing his neck in a rude, angry, and violent manner.
The officer received minor injuries in the form of small lacerations. Brown was transported to the Riley County Jail and was given a bond of $5,000.
