Daniel Bigley, 20, of Manhattan was arrested on January 19, 2016 at approximately 9:00 AM as a result of a search warrant executed in the 2100 block of Sloan Street. Bigley was arrested on the offenses of distributing certain hallucinogenic, use of a telecommunication facility to facilitate a drug transaction, possession of hallucinogenic drug, and use or possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia. He was given a bond of $11,000.00 and at the time of this report was confined at the Riley County Jail. Also arrested as part of this drug investigation was Arturo Green Jr., 29, and Joseph Lee, 31, also of Manhattan. Search warrants were conducted at each of these subjects addresses and their arrests followed. Green was arrested for the offenses of distributing certain hallucinogenic drugs, use of a telecommunication facility to facilitate a drug transaction, and possession of hallucinogenic drugs. His bond was set at $8,000.00 and at the time of this report had been released from the Riley County Jail. Lee was given a bond of $12,000.00 and had been released at the time of this report after being arrested for the offenses of distributing certain hallucinogenic drugs, use of telecommunication facility to facilitate a drug transaction, distributing certain hallucinogenic drugs, use or possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia, and possession of a hallucinogenic drug. Several grams of methamphetamine and marijuana were seized as a result of this investigation. Detectives began this investigation in September 2015 and found that approximately $300,000.00 had been transferred across state lines in order to facilitate the distribution of illegal drugs locally in the Manhattan and Riley County area.


Police are looking for information on the theft of a 2014 white Nissan Frontier which was stolen while in the 100 block of Riley Ave. in Ogden, Kansas. Officers listed Shayne Boutte, 33, of Ogden, Kansas as the victim in this investigation and are asking that anyone with information on this theft contact the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. There were no signs of forced entry and the report indicates that the vehicle was unlocked and running at the time of this crime.
