With the Kansas State University football game scheduled for Thursday night, out-of-town fans and Manhattan residents hoping to get home after work may experience traffic delays.

Areas around Bill Snyder Family Stadium and the major streets that lead to it, including Anderson Avenue, Denison Avenue, College Avenue, Kimball Avenue and North Manhattan Avenue, will be congested. These areas should be avoided if you are not attending the game. Traffic using K-177 and U.S. Highway 24 to enter Manhattan for the game should expect delays.

Kansas State University is encouraging fans to arrive early to ease the traffic congestion. Stadium and satellite parking lots open at 1:30 p.m., according to KSU Athletics. Parking on campus may be limited until 5 p.m. Parking on streets surrounding the stadium is limited, according to the City of Manhattan’s game day parking restrictions.

If you plan to stop in Aggieville, note that parking in City Park is limited and restricted to paved and graveled areas. Construction is ongoing in the City Park Pool parking lot and at the 11th and Fremont intersection. Please use caution in these areas.

Manhattan USD 383 has already advised that students traveling home by bus Thursday afternoon may be delayed, including those traveling to and from Ogden. Some neighborhoods surrounding the stadium may be inaccessible by school buses. Questions concerning arrival times can be directed to USD 383 Transportation Dispatch at 587-2190.
