A Manhattan woman was life-flighted following a vehicle/pedestrian accident early Tuesday afternoon.  Alysa Hodges, 20, was first taken to Via Christi Hospital via ambulance and then life-flighted to an unknown location. Major Don Stubbings, the K-State Police Assistant Director for Support Services and Public Information Officer, indicates Hodges was in stable condition.
The accident occurred at Denison and Hunting Avenues at about 12:15 Tuesday afternoon. Hodges was walking at a crosswalk in that location when she was struck by a vehicle driven by Brittany Orr, 22, of Manhattan. Orr was issued a citation for failure to yield in a pedestrian crosswalk.
