The Manhattan Fire Department responded to a fire in the A & H Auto Repair building at 700 South 6th Street just before 9 p.m. on Sunday. There were no injuries.

Riley County Police Department Public Information Officer Hali Rowland told KMAN Monday that investigators have determined the cause of the fire to be arson. Rowland said what exactly ignited the fire is still under investigation, but they have a known suspect of interest.

5 fire apparatuses and 18 firefighters managed to contain the fire within 10 minutes. Officials said in a release that the fire caused $5,000 in damage to the structure and $5,000 in damage to contents of the building.

KMAN will update with more information as it becomes available.
