Pancake Feed @ Randolph VFW

Randolph Lions Club will be having a Pancake Feed on Saturday, March 30th at the Randolph VFW serving from 5:00 to 7:30 pm.  They will be serving pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, sliced peaches, coffee, tea, juice and milk.  A Free Will Offering helps support their MANY missions including HS scholarships, glasses, and cemetery flags for Veterans.

Spaghetti Dinner @ Pottorf Hall - CiCo Park

The Manhattan Breakfast Optimist Club will have their 11th Annual Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser on Saturday, March 30th from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at Pottorf Hall in CiCo Park.  Adults $7.50 – Under 13 $4.00.  To support Optimist Park Maintenance Projects: Complete Jessica Field Pitching Lanes; Bleacher for Jessica Field; Bleacher & Dugout Benches for Bidwell Field; Resurface Parking Lot (Flood Damage).

Bike swap @ Wefald Pavilion - City Park

Manhattan Parks and Recreation, Kids Bikes Recycling, and The Pathfinder are working together to bring you the 2019 Bike Swap! This event takes place on Sunday, March 31st, from 1:00-5:00 pm at the Wefald Pavilion in City Park.  Any person, adult or child, can bring in a working bicycle and swap for a bigger or better bike.  At 5 pm all remaining bikes are given to anyone, even if there is nothing to swap.  EMS will be fitting and giving away helmets.  There will be a freebie table with locks, water bottles, etc.  It is a big party so come for some fun!  Anyone, from any town, may participate, including children and adults.  There will be volunteers who just change tubes for free.  So someone can bring their bike, or just the tire, and get a free tube change.

8th Annual Polyester Party @ K-State Alumni Center

Dig out your bell-bottoms and platform shoes and disco for a cure at the eighth annual Polyester Party at 7:00 pm, Friday, April 5th, at the K-State Alumni Center.  The party benefits the Kansas State University’s Johnson Cancer Research Center.  Entertainment will include a live performance by Kansas City band Disco Dick and the Mirrorballs, as well as the Off the Hook bra art contest.  Guests can also enjoy the photo station, heavy hors d’oeuvres and the late-night munchies by Five Restaurant and AJ’s Pizzeria, and a cash bar with signature drink.  Retro attire from the 1960’s, ’70s and ’80s is encouraged, and a cash prize of $100 will be awarded for best costume. Tickets are on sale now for the newest event hosted by the Homecare & Hospice Foundation.  The inaugural Flint Hills Beer Fest will be held on Saturday, April 6th.  On that day, more than 30 breweries will be lined up at Blue Earth Plaza and ready to greet attendees with their best brews.  The event will also feature local food trucks, live music and more!  Two ticket options are available as the event will feature VIP Tickets from 3:00 – 7:00 pm which include an hour on exclusive samples not poured during the rest of the fest and General Admission tickets from 4:00 7:00 pm.  Funds raised make it possible for Homecare & Hospice to provide the most meaningful and dignified care and services to those most in need in the Flint Hills region. Pink Up the Pace 5K @ Downtown Manhattan

The Pink Up the Pace 5K and 1 Mile Honor Walk will be held on Saturday, April 13th at 8:00 am.  A mile-long Honor Walk is being added this year.  Families and friends can sign up as a team with members participating in either event.  Be sure to stay and celebrate afterward with a party on AJ’s patio!  Pizza, Beer and Music!  Register as a VIRTUAL RUNNER and run with them wherever you are!  The week of the race a t-shirt will be sent to you so you can rock the pink as well.  A portion of the proceeds will go to support the Johnson Cancer Research Center.  For tickets go to register.chronotrack.com.

Walk for Autism & Special Needs Awareness @ First Presbyterian Church

Easter Family Fun Day @ Manhattan Parks & Recreation

The Spring Easter Family Fun Day will be held on Saturday, April 20th beginning at 10:00 am in City Park immediately following the Lion’s Club Egg Hunt.
