Update, Monday 8/12:
Officials have determined the cause of the fire to be accidental.
Investigators report that a hot motorcycle was left too close to combustible materials, which then ignited.

The Manhattan Fire Department responded to a garage fire early Saturday morning.

At 2:47 a.m., the MFD was dispatched to 126 Kopp Drive. According to a MFD press release, crews found a single story house with the garage fully involved in fire upon arrival. A total of 20 firefighters responded on six fire apparatus and the crews were able to contain the fire in 15 minutes.

At the time of the fire their were seven occupants present in the house and they were all able to exit the structure without injury. Loss is estimated at $30,000 to contents and $60,000 to the residential structure. The owner is listed as ELG Enterprises LLC of Little River with the resident agent being MK Property Management LLP of Manhattan. The fire cause is under investigation at this time.
