RCPD Report 1/9/19

Officers responded to the report of an injury accident near the intersection of Bluemont and Juliette on January 8, 2019, at approximately 8:45 AM.  When officers arrived on scene they found a 2004 SAAB driven by John Wendt, 21, of Manhattan had struck a pedestrian, Lee Hildebrecht, 82, of Manhattan.  Hildebrecht was transported to Via Christi for treatment of his injuries.
Officers filed a report for burglary in the 600 block of S Delaware St. in Manhattan on January 8, 2019 at approximately 7:50 PM. Officers listed Iris Suarez Trinidad, 39, of Manhattan as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect took miscellaneous clothing and household goods from her storage unit. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $1,200.00. Police ask that anyone with information contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.00.
Officers filed a report for an aggravated robbery an aggravated assault in the 500 block of Leavenworth in Manhattan on January 8, 2019 at approximately 8:45 PM.   Officer listed Fifths Liquor of Manhattan, and three other individual citizens as the victims when it was reported an unknown suspect stole money from the business then fled the scene.  The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $400.  Police ask that anyone with information contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.00.
Erin Boykin, 22, of Junction City was arrested in the 1100 block of Bluemont Ave. on January 8, 2019 at approximately 3:20 PM.  Boykin was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol; duty of driver to report accident with an unattended vehicle; possession of a firearm while under the influence of alcohol; distribute opiate, opium, certain stimulate; distribute marijuana; possession of drug paraphernalia; and interference with law enforcement. Boykin was issued a total bond of $15,000.00.  Boykin was not confined at the time of this report.
Narianna Williams, 21, of Manhattan was arrested in the 1800 block of College Ave. on January 9, 2019 at approximately 4:00 AM.  Williams was arrested on two Manhattan Municipal Court warrants for failure to appear and a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation.  Williams was issued a total bond of $9,500.00.  Williams was still confined at the time of this report.
