Officers filed a report for theft in the 3000 block of State St in Manhattan on April 23, 2019, at approximately 6:05 AM. Officers listed Rebecca Benfield, 29 of Manhattan as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect took her 2017 Subaru Impreza and cash. Derek Blea, 26 of Manhattan was arrested in the 1200 block of Yuma in Manhattan on April 23, 2019, at approximately 2:40 PM. Blea was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear. Blea was issued a total bond of $20,000.00. Blea was no longer confined at the time of this report.
Arayah Gauna, 20 of Manhattan was arrested in the 500 block of Juliette in Manhattan on April 24, 2019, at approximately 1:40 AM. Gauna was arrested on the offenses of possession of opiate, opium, narcotic or certain stimulant, use/possess w/intent to use drug paraphernalia into human body, and possession of marijuana. Gauna was issued a total bond of $5,000.00. Gauna was still confined at the time of this report.
