Officers responded to a report of a male walking around carrying a gun near 17th and Poyntz in Manhattan on April 28, 2019, at approximately 10:45 PM. Officers located the individual and he was taken into custody without incident. A 14-year-old male was arrested on the offenses of criminal possession of a weapon by a felon and criminal use of a weapon. The juvenile was transported to the North Central Kansas Regional Juvenile Detention Center and is still confined at this time.
