When it comes to snacking, Americans are the undisputed champions of the world.
Of course, we *might* be a touch biased, there.
Still, we know a thing or two about that mid-morning, mid-afternoon or late-night snack. And we most likely learned about it from our parents.
Seemed timely.
A new study conducted on behalf of California Prunes showed that 53 percent of Americans say they inherited their snacking habits from their parents. I know I inherited my grandfather’s sweet tooth, so that seems legit.
Unfortunately, we’re not very good at doing the healthy snack thing. Our top favorites are:
- Cookies
- Potato chips
- Popcorn
- Pretzels
- Corn chips
- Cheese
- Cured meats
- Chocolate
- Olives
- Fresh fruit. (Ed. note: HEY! A healthy one!)
Also, who just snacks on olives?!?! Those are only good in a martini. Shaken, not stirred. Obviously.
