And, before you ask, no, it’s not over how much that song gets played between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

A singer/songwriter named Andy Stone has brought the lawsuit against Mariah over the song, which he says she stole five years after he made a song with the same title.

For the record, Stone is better known as Vince Vance. As in Vince Vance and the Valiants.

Yeah, no idea who he is, either.

I swear, that sounds like a terrible movie band name.

Anyway, Vince Vance and…can’t do it. Just too ridiculous. That band put out their song in 1989 and are suing for $20 million dollars in damages, because the Mariah Carey version exploited his “popularity and unique style” and caused confusion.
