Patrick Mahomes just got rewarded for bringing Kansas City it’s first Whataburger.
Oh, and something about a Super Bowl championship.
It was announced yesterday that Mahomes has signed a 10-year contract extension with the Chiefs worth just shy of a HALF BILLION DOLLARS.
“With his dynamic play and infectious personality, [Mahomes] is one of the most recognized and beloved figures to put on the Chiefs uniform,” Clark Hunt, the chairman of the Chiefs, said in a statement. “He’s an extraordinary leader and a credit to the Kansas City community, and I’m delighted that he will be a member of the Chiefs for many years to come.”
Mahomes, himself, Tweeted out the good news with a highlight video.

Now, can we just lock down Travis Kelce, also? That man is a national treasure. A. NATIONAL. TREASURE.
