“Scrubs” episode illustrates need for social distancing

As the U.S. continues to figure out just what needs to happen to combat the novel coronavirus, an old episode of Scrubs has gone viral that provides a great explanation of how quickly and easily infections can spread.

The clip from the 2006 episode “The Cabbage” begins with The Janitor refusing to escort a bird that had taken up residency in the waiting room out. Dr. Kelso then explains how that bird can spread germs and how easily it happens. Here’s the clip in full.
