How about a little love to offset the world right now?

A nurse and a first responder in Pennsylvania got married on Friday, both proving that the COVID-19 pandemic can’t keep love down and that TINDER ACTUALLY IS USEFUL FOR MORE THAN JUST HOOKUPS!

Sorry, that last part took us off-guard.

Nurse Lauren Rovinsky and first responder Donnie Thomas first met on the dating app back in 2013 and then got engaged in 2018. For the next two years, they planned their dream wedding but, like many others, the pandemic has derailed those plans.

Instead, Lauren and Donnie had their wedding on their original wedding date, only on their back deck with her brother serving as the officiant. Neighbors watched from their yards, even going so far as to dress up, and family was able to watch the nuptials by video stream.

“It wasn’t anything like what we’ve spent almost 2 years planning, and I look forward to the big celebrations that are still to come,” Lauren wrote on her Facebook page. “I can’t wait until my mom helps me into my REAL wedding dress and I walk down the aisle with my father. I can’t wait to dance the night away with our friends and family. But tonight was more special than I could have imagined under the circumstances.”
