For those that complain that Hollywood only pumps out superhero movies, here you go!

It was announced that the card game “Uno” is being turned into a movie this week. Atlanta-based rapper Lil Yachty is producing and may star in the film, which is being described as an ‘action heist comedy set in the underground Hip-Hop world.’

So, it won’t have anything to do with the actual card game. Okay.

“I played Uno as a kid and still do today, so to spin that into a movie based on the Atlanta hip hop scene I came out of is really special,” Lil Yachty said. “It hits close to home for me.”

Look, movies based on games is nothing new. Clue is the gold standard of board game movies, though Battleship holds a special place in my heart. It, also, has nothing to do with the board game it’s based on. It does have Liam Neeson in it, though, so it automatically gets one thumb up in my book.
