Earlier this month, Ferrara Candy out of Chicago was hacked with a ransomware attack. This is significant because Ferrara makes Brach’s candy corn.
The hackers disrupted production, and the company still isn’t at 100 percent yet, but Ferrara is reassuring the candy corn-buying public that there will not be a shortage this year.
