We’ve been known to down a slice of pizza or…a large on occasion (EAT LOCAL PIZZA!), so this hits us in the right spot.

A survey of Americans by the survey website Zippia in honor of National Pizza Month shows that cheese pizza is the most popular style of pizza among the states. A total of 29 like just plain pizza, which includes Kansas.

For the record, pepperoni only carries two states, Oregon and Montana. We feel that the anti-pepperoni lobby had a little to do with this survey.

Meat lovers is top in Louisiana, West Virginia and Wyoming.

Hawaii’s favorite isn’t Hawaiian, which we’re not sure if the assumption that it should be isn’t a sign of stereotyping. It is, however, the favorite in Georgia, North Dakota and New Mexico.
