Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak have combined their respective forces into an R&B supergroup who’s first single leaves you wanting so much more.
“Leave the Door Open” dropped on streaming services Friday morning, as did a music video with an awesome retro vibe. Mars co-directed the video, which can be viewed below, with Florent Dechard.
The supergroup, called Silk Sonic, will have an upcoming album release, though details are sparse at the moment. This isn’t the first collaberation for Mars and .Paak, as they toured in 2017.
This will be the first full album from .Paak since 2019’s Ventura, while Mars hasn’t had a new record since 2016’s 24K Magic. Both did have singles that dropped in 2020.
