Note for the future: do NOT try to propose on an outdoor stage at Disneyland Paris.

A guy, let’s call him Bruno. Why? I don’t know. He just looks like a Bruno. Anyway, Bruno decided to propose to his girlfriend at Disneyland Paris on an outdoor stage with the Sleeping Beauty Castle in the background.

Solid choice, Bruno. Very Instagramable.

HOWEVER, an…overzealous, shall we say, Disney employee busted through them, K-State Mob-style, grabbed the ring out of Bruno’s hand and forced them off the stage. Apparently, that is a rule at the park.

The Disney employee looked like he enjoyed doing that a little too much, to be honest.

The video of the incident was posted to Reddit. The poster claims to be a friend of the couple, and said Bruno asked for permission from another employee, who said go for it.

Bruno’s girlfriend said yes, for the record.

Disney also apologized to the couple.

“We regret how this was handled,” a Disney spokesperson told Newsweek. “We have apologized to the couple involved and offered to make it right.”

No word on what “making it right” will entail, but I assume it will be a voucher for $50 to visit the park again. Which is worth approximately 15 minutes of whimsey.
