It is Christmas week and, in a normal year, we would be planning the big, elaborate meal for a small army of family members that you only vaguely recognize since you only see them at Christmas time.

Or maybe that’s just us.

Regardless, that is going to be different this year, but the Christmas staples remain fairly similar. A survey from YouGov revealed the best and worst of the Christmas dinner foods.

First, the Best!

  1. Roasted potatoes
  2. Mashed potatoes
  3. Turkey
  4. Bread/rolls
  5. Stuffing
  6. Prime rib
  7. Roast beef
  8. Steak
  9. Chicken/Cornish hen
  10. Roast pork

Ham, which is almost always on the menu for all of our many Christmas dinners, was 11th. Lasagna was 12th. Rumors suggest a rather portly, orange cat was seen tampering with some ballots.

And now, the list you really want to see, the Worst!

  1. Tofu
  2. Plantains
  3. Turnips
  4. Goose
  5. Cabbage
  6. Collard greens
  7. Duck
  8. Coleslaw
  9. Black-eyed peas
  10. Empanadas

Coleslaw on Christmas? Hard pass.
